Dog medication can be used to treat anything from parasites to infections. Dogs suffer from many of the same ailments as people and will have similar medications like antibiotics.

Heartgard, Frontline, Advantage and Advantix are the names of some popular parasite control medications. They are used to kill or prevent heartworms, roundworms, hookworms, fleas and ticks that often afflict dogs.
